We highly suggest making a reservation, however you can come into H2O Adventures to reserve. All marine vessels are on a first come basis
No, prior to your departure, you’ll receive hands-on experience operating your rental boat. Our team will acquaint you with the operation of the boat.
It depends on your individual insurance provider. Most insurance providers will cover rental cars but not necessarily rental boats. Contact your provider for specific details prior to your day of rental.
You break it, you bought it! The State of Georgia does not allow us to sell boat insurance, so be careful not to break or lose anything. Ask at the office for the replacement price of items lost or broken.
We do not provide any drivers for our rental fleet.
Yes, However... - Pet(s) count toward your total weight allowance - Pet life jackets are recommended for your animal's safety - We DO NOT provide life jackets for animals - Owner responsible for ALL damage caused by pet - Please remember fresh water and a bowl for Fido!
Yes. Anyone in your group may drive the boat as long as they are at least 21 years old, have a valid driver’s license on file with H2O Adventures. Anyone born after 1/1/1998 must have a valid Georgia Boater card. Any guests who want to drive must watch our Georgia DNR Rental Boating Safety Video prior to your departure.
Yes. Please give this information when you arrive so we can add a note to your reservation.
By Law, children 12 years old or younger and anyone operating or riding a PWC must wear a life jacket at all times. Also H2O Adventures requires any guest who is mentally or physically impaired, elderly, medicated or those who are not strong swimmers wear a life jacket at all times.
Absolutely! We rent single & double tubes. These items are on a first come, first served basis.
No. Renters are not allowed to use propane or charcoal grills on our rental fleet.
Each rental boat leaves the dock with a full tank of fuel. A service fee of $50 (dockside) or $75 (delivered) plus the cost of fuel will be charged if the vessel is returned without a full tank. Please make sure you remove your personal belongings and trash when finished.
A fishing license is required if you plan on fishing. We do not sell fishing licenses however you can obtain one at a local bait shop, Wal-Mart or you can purchase one directly from the DNR online.
We do not have live bait but we do sell a selection of artificial bait and other fishing supplies at our rental store.
Lake Sinclair and Lake Oconee are both Georgia Power owned lakes and are used to generate power via a hydroelectric dam. The water depth varies during the day. The water depth also depends on the amount of rainfall. When in doubt, slow down and check the depth gauge.
The 21 foot pontoon boat has an occupancy rating of 10 people. The Chaparral Deck Boat allows a maximum of 12.
Yes – the listed boat capacity is for all people, regardless of age.
No – none of our boats are equipped with either bathrooms or porta-potties.
Georgia has a 100 foot rule for all objects including docks, boats, PWCs, towables, etc.
Please allow 45 minutes to fill out the paper work and to receive and operational/safety instructions.
When entering a No Wake zone, boats must reduce speed such that no wake is produced behind the vessel. Boats must proceed in idle mode until passing the secondary no wake zone sign.
If you run into trouble while out on the water, don't worry. Just call us at 706-800-8h20 (706-800-8420) and we will send a service advocate out to assist you.
Cancellations made 14 days or more from reservation date are subject to a 10% cancellation fee with all other funds being refunded. Cancellations made 13 days or less from reservation date will forfeit the entire reservation unless optional trip insurance is purchased at time of booking. Optional Trip insurance: Can be purchased when reservation is made. Trip insurance allows cancellation up to 24 hours prior to rental for any reason or last minute due to weather with 100% refund of rental cost.
H2O Adventures reserves the right to cancel any reservations due to dangerous weather conditions. In the case that H2O Adventures cancels a reservation due to dangerous weather, a gift card/ voucher for the full rental amount will be issued to customer to be used later on in the year (no monetary refunds will be issued unless trip insurance was purchased at time of rental). Future weather forecast, slight drizzle, and cloudy weather are not justifications for the waiving of H2O Adventures’ cancellation policy. Refunds or vouchers will not be issued for inclement weather once the vessel has departed for rental.
Each watercraft returned late will be charged a $50 per 15 minutes late fee. Other renters may be renting the craft behind you so please be considerate of your fellow renters. Late fee may be waived if prior arrangements are made and approved by H2O staff. In these cases, the customer will be charged at standard rates for additional time.
We do not allow alcohol. We want you to have a great time but safety is always our top priority. Alcohol and water do not mix! This is also a very family oriented activity and we want all of our customers to enjoy their time with us.
Yes, with the exception of life jackets for animals. H2O Adventures recommends that pet owners bring a pet life vest with them for your animal's safety.
