Our kayaks are NOT tandem kayaks. They are designed for one adult only.
It really depends on how far you want to kayak and how strong the wind is. Kayaking can be as leisurely or strenuous as you (or the wind) want to make it.
Wear whatever will make you comfortable on the water, given the conditions on the day of your rental. Wearing something that you don’t mind getting wet in is a good idea. Swimwear or board shorts are great options — and water shoes are nice to wear if you own a pair. Hats and sunglasses are optional; sunscreen shouldn’t be.
Yes, but we may not have kayaks available. We highly suggest you reserve your kayak using our online reservation system or calling us at 706-800-8h20 (706-800-8420)
Staying centered and keeping a low center of gravity are important to stability. Although tipping over is rare, if you do tip over, the canoe or kayak will float and be able to support you.
No. Float the canoe or kayak to the bank and slowly pull it out of the water on it’s side. This will allow the water to drain out. You will then be able to get back in and continue paddling.
We do not allow alcohol. We want you to have a great time but safety is always our top priority. Alcohol and water do not mix! This is also a very family oriented activity and we want all of our customers to enjoy their time with us.
